DuPontTM Tyvek® UV Facade (black color) – durable breathing diffusive membrane for open and ventilated facades. The strengthened resistance to depleting UV rays and guarantee of optimal protection, i.e. the membrane is excellently permeable to water vapor, but at the same time it protects the heating materials from wind, water and radiation free of UV rays.
It has been proven that the durable UV resistance (only with regard to membrane) is guaranteed up to 10 years when the seam’s width between the finishing materials does not exceed 3 cm (picture below).
It suits for open facades with wooden, metal, stone or other finishing.

We recommend:
To glue the membrane‘s junctions with Tyvek UV façade adhesive tape (black color). Only the solid construction will be 100 % impermeable to wind and water.

Name: 2524B Tyvek® UV Facade

Full UV stabilization (for walls without main cover)

  months 0,5 - 4

(1) according to EN13859-2: with regard to open facades the membrane was tested for 5000 h by remote impact of UV rays (standard usage of walls/roofs 336 h), and after the tests the products satisfied all the directives of the European Union on the building products.
(2) when the material is laid together with mineral cotton, the classification according to inflammability is D-s1, d2 (KB-Hoch-080796)
It satisfies the requirements of the standard LST EN 13859-1:2005 + A1:2009 “Flexible sheets for waterproofing - Definitions and characteristics of underlays - Part 1: Underlays for discontinuous roofing” and its supplement ZA.

Recommended requirements for installation of open facade:

a = gap between finishing materials
b = finish’s width
a = max. 3 cm
b ≥ 2 x a
For example:
a = 2 cm
b = 4 cm

This is a necessary condition to guarantee the durable functioning of the membrane.
